Hi Sam,
Heard through the grapevine that you had a stellar drive in Vic's slingshot, up at the Pod!  Deep in the 7's and the car's best?  What was it exactly?

I was not expecting to be driving this weekend but Vic asked me (well to be exact he gave me the sign on form and told me)
Qualified with a 8.0 something at 169
Ran 8.33 first round but it was getting a little close to the wall
8.04 @155 second round
Roy and ourselves were paired up as a final.. well what can I say
1.12 60 foot
4.88 @141 1/8
6.3 1000feet
7.7115 @163.5 top end..
the track was really grippy about 40 feet out so I'd driven it off the line the last couple of runs and got on it about 50 feet out..
on the 7 it shook the tyres hard for a bit but I'd got it planted and wasn't letting off..
really pleased with myself for the weekends runs, not often you take 0.3 off in one chunk when you get down to 8.0's..
its still soft and safe which suits us as we don't want to damage anything, but it has a lot more in it
1950lbs, 511ci on gas and carb, no power adders
8.00 @ 166.5
Also 7.7115 @ 183.5 in Vics digger
