Hi everybody
Here is the brief news from our ‘Fall Nationals’ at the National Finals at Santa Pod, last weekend, 19th & 20th September, with a full writeup to follow as soon as we can!
The Wild Bunch had a field of 9 teams competing at the event: Bob Hawkins in “Time Traveller II”, Bob Morgan in “B-Sting”, Keith Crampton in “Soul Town Shaker”, Terry Clifford in “Soul Town Shaker”, Phil James in “Rampage”, Darryl Howells in “Chemical Reaction”, Alan Loten in “Paranoia”, Sarah Howells in “Black Pig Too” and Steven East in “Ellie’s in Trouble Now”.
Saturday’s weather started dry though cool. It then got sunnier and warmer, and there was a glorious late summer’s day, where we got all 3 qualifiers in. All 9 teams safely qualified. Sunday dawned cloudy and cool and there was some sunshine, and although some clouds lurked around mid afternoon, it remained dry all day so we got all 4 rounds of racing completed by 5pm! There were some very close exciting races as the various Series were being contested, with the Wild Bunch and Spirit of Nostalgia Challenge Series going right down to the Semi-Finals!
Here are the Top 4:
1st Place: Keith Crampton in “Soul Town Shaker” 2nd Place: Phil James in “Rampage” 3rd Place: Bob Morgan in “B-Sting” 4th Place: Bob Hawkins in “Time Traveller II”
