Hi everyone!

The Wild Bunch held our AGM on Sunday, 5th February, in Farley Hill, and many things were discussed, all of the existing officers of the club were re-elected, and we have a couple of new committee members, Bob Hawkins and Steve Cassisi, so a very warm welcome to them and thanks for joining the committee! The various Series Dates for 2017 were confirmed. Thanks to everyone who attended the AGM and for all their contributions.

A 2017 Membership pack with Registration forms, Rules, Dates, etc is being sent out this week with all the details from the meeting, and full information regarding the race dates. The Rules are the same as last season. As for dates, we again have a total of 10 events this year on similar dates to 2016, with a bonus one for fun at the end (see below). Please read all this info when you receive it.

Please note that the 2017 Registration form should be completed and returned with the fee by two weeks before the start of the season in order to enter events and be registered to collect points. Though please do this sooner if you can to help with admin, and to ensure you receive news and info about forthcoming events.

Our 2017 season will start at the "Festival of Power" MSA event at Santa Pod, which is a 3-day event over the Easter Weekend, held Friday-Sunday, April 14th - 16th. Once entry forms have been posted (after the joint SPRC/APIRA meeting on Sunday, 26th February in Northampton) they will be found on the Santa Pod Racers Club page through eurodragster.com (under Associations and clubs Link). The entry deadline for this event is usually 3 or 4 weeks before the event, but double check through the SPRC pages through eurodragster.com. Enter as early as possible to ensure your place! This will be a great event, and will be our first round of the year, in the 10-event "Spirit of Nostalgia Challenge" Series, so we hope to see lots of you there to start off the season! There will then be another Spirit of Nostalgia Challenge round at Springspeed at Shakespeare County Raceway, and then the first Wild Bunch Series Round is the RWYB in the middle of May, so we hope to see loads of you at that one!

2017 will be the 22nd running of the Wild Bunch Series. This year it will be based on 'Best 6 of 7 rounds to count'. The Spirit of Nostalgia Challenge will be based on 'Best 9 out of 10 rounds to count'. The Springbridge MSA Challenge will be 'All 4 rounds to count'. Many thanks to Bob Hawkins for again sponsoring this Series. The Roy Wilding Nostalgia Race Cars Series will be 'All 3 rounds to count'. Shakespeare County Raceway/APIRA Series rounds will be 'Both rounds to count'.
