Hi folks, I hope you are all keeping well, and staying safe.
You may have just received or will be receiving today, our 2020 Wild Bunch Registration pack, where I had outlined the potential season, hopefully, and news as it stood last week (ie. that there would be no Motorsport UK events until at least 30th April, and that there was the possibility that our first 2 Wild Bunch events this year, in May, would also be cancelled; and I also expressed a little optimism on later events.) ......
I have just read this update from MSUK which means the suspension of their sanctioned motorsport will run for at least 2 further months, until 30th June. (I post below the official news release to share the latest development with you). .....
So unfortunately that means that the 'Springspeed Nationals' on 2nd & 3rd May will NOT take place and, although not MSUK sanctioned, due to the prevailing problems the NSRA Nostalgia Nationals will unfortunately not therefore be able to go ahead on 8th - 10th May. Myself being an optimist still holds on to a small glimmer of hope that things may be okay and Dragstalgia may take place in July. (Or at least events later in the year) (Just a little positivity to cling to) ......
But as you will now know, this is an ever developing situation, and the absolute priority MUST be everyone's health, as it should be. I will post any updates when I have them. In the meantime, I hope you are all in a position where you can follow the government's advice to socially distance, stay home and only go out for essential purposes. To those of you who work in the NHS, police, fire, emergency services, care, food supply chains, transport, teaching and many other key roles that are helping look after people, keep them safe, provide food and other necessities, we can all only say 'Thank you so much' for doing what you do!! You are all incredible and have our respect and thanks. To all of you who also still have to work, and to those who have to fulfil caring and support commitments, our warmest thoughts go out to you . Please all stay as safe as you can while you do all this.....
Hoping we all get through this safely in just a few months, and I am looking forward to the time when we can all meet again .....
To everyone reading this and your families and friends, I wish you all the best of health, and hoping you can find ways to do things you enjoy at home and stay in touch with all your loved ones, even where you can't see them in person. Please all keep in touch with each other, and hopefully will see some great ways to communicate, keep in touch and support each other online. Take care.
